Hiroshima...

I should start out by telling you that yes, we did go to Hiroshima last weekend, and no, I did not get to see any of it. I was sick, yet again. This time, I got the flu- or something- and spent the weekend couped up in our hotel room with a fever. I can't catch a break!!! I think I went about 4 days without being sick and then I got sick again. Anyway, something weird is going on around here.
Casey was able to go and have fun and get pictures, though, so the trip wasn't a total loss. He did manage to get sick on Monday, though, and came home from work with a fever. Who knew I was so good a sharing? Anyway, after spending about 2 days in bed, we are both recovering now and I finally had energy yesterday and cleaned the entire apartment. I think there has to be something in here making me sick, so I just started cleaning everything... it couldn't hurt. Now the place looks nice (and smells nice!) and hopefully the germs will stay the heck out.
Yesterday I went to Japanese class (which I bombed because I hadn't studied much since I'd been sleeping the majority of the time) but once that was over, Tasaka-san, Yanagi-san, and some of the other students and I helped make Takoyaki, which was fun and pretty easy.
Today I am going to go out with Tomoko for a little while- I'm not sure exactly what we are doing, but I'm taking it easy either way. I will probably come home and take a short nap this afternoon. I have been eating fruit and drinking TONS of orange juice... I hope it helps!!
Well that's about all for me. I haven't written lately because writing about being sick isn't fun for you to read, or me to write. I thought I'd spare everyone. :) As of tomorrow I have two more weeks here... God it's going too fast... but then not fast enough! I am ready to get back to South Carolina!
